Roger Waters: The Best

A Boot CD Review by Brian Pinkerton

id you know that Roger Waters has a Greatest Hits CD? I'll bet that even Roger Waters doesn't know.
It's called "Roger Waters: The Best" and it comes from Russia. © 1995 Star Ltd, catalogue number S95008. I highly doubt this is an official release. Smells like a pirate to me.

Every now ant then it pops up for sale in record collector magazines like Goldmine or on the internet. The track listing is a ludicrous jumble of chunks from three solo albums: Amused To Death, Pro's and Cons, and Radio KAOS. The track listing is as follows:

  1. The Ballad of Bill Hubbard
  2. What God Wants, part1
  3. The Tide Is Turning
  4. The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking
  5. Sexual Revolution
  6. The Remains of Our Love
  7. Radio Waves
  8. Who Needs Information
  9. Me or Him
  10. Apparently They Were Traveling Abroad
  11. Running Shoes
  12. Arabs With Knives and West German Skies
  13. For the First Time Today part 2
  14. Amused To Death
  15. For the First Time Today part 1
  16. Dunroamin, Duncarin, Dunlivin
It's poorly organized and makes for an awkward listening experience. For sick collectors only!
