Roger Waters In the Flesh Dubai
The Dubai show was outstanding. Having waited most of my adult life to see Roger
Waters live, I was not disappointed. The quality of the musicians, and the
presentation of the show was superb. It was a privilege to hear the classic
Floyd songs from the man himself, and the new tracks are excellent.
Thanks.

I hung around the stage from the early morning watching everything being built and watching all the sound sets and tests. The concert was in a golf club, therefore it was an open air show and was on grass, and NO T-SHIRTS WERE SOLD!!!
I was there for about 3 hours before the show would start, and I was lucky enough to be in the first row of the standing arena just behind the VIP seating. Roger really looked good that night and enjoyed the crowd very much, and going to the right and left side of the stage waving his hands to the crowd and singing with them.
I don't know about the other concerts, but Snowy sang about 4-5 songs himself and he was great on the guitar. Harry Waters also did a great job and the crowd cheered him very much.
The play list was just like the other shows. On Comfortably Numb, all the people in the VIP seated area stood up with their hands waving in the air and singing with Roger all through the song which had generated a VERY nice feeling in everyone. Flickering Flame was played as the encore and before the song, Roger said "THIS IS A SONG ABOUT LOVE AND FREEDOM", at which point the audience went wild.
One thing that I saw being rehearsed before the concert, was the helicopter which was to come over the crowd during the show for THE HAPPIEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES, and they were quite in sync. But for some reason the helicopter didn't make it on time during the concert and was turned away as it was already too late!! (I guess Roger was a little pissed about that ;) )
But over all, the sound was great and everyone in the band played great, and it sure was a night to remember.
One thing though, the show rocked and I must say it was a lot better show then
what your former bandputs on. Although I'm abig fan of both you and Pink
Floyd. I guess you can still be considered a member of that band. At least by
your fans. I really have no clue where you stand with David, Nick, and Richard
anymore. I'm just glad I was able to get away from the sandand have the
opportunity to see you live. Anyways, if you wish
P.S. I was the guy who got on the stage to have a seat beside you.
