The Point

From the Dublin Ireland Show
at The Point
June 24, 2002

From: Alfred Tonge
Best concert I have ever attended, bought the tickets 8 months ago. Finally the spirit and soul of Pink Floyd played Dublin. He played here with Pink Floyd in 1968, and it took him a long time (34 years) to return.

Dave, must be sick when he hears Roger playing.

I thought I would never see Roger Waters play in Ireland but it has been well worth the wait. An excellent no nonsense concert with every band member giving their best. Waters is head and shoulders above his contempories.

To all Roger Waters fans;
I went to the show on Monday the 24 of June in Dublin, and it was EXCELLENT, CLASS , WIPEOUT!

From Pink Floyd songs to Radio Kaos to Amused to Death it was absolutly Brilliant. I had to travel 157 miles to get to the concert and it was worth it. Thanks to Roger Waters, Chester Kamen, Graham Broad, Andy Wallace, Harry Waters, Andy Fairweather Low, Katie Kisson, PP Arnold, Snowy White. From A Big Fan.
RORY.

Went to see Roger Waters in the point on June 24th. Was'nt disapointed, the show was brilliant.

It was great to hear songs like In the Flesh, Comfortably Numb, and everything in between sang by the great man himself "In the Flesh". Lets hope he doesn't wait another 34 years to come back to Ireland.

Roger Waters in Dublin june 24 2002. The atmosphere in Dublin's Temple Bar was awesome at the pre show party with the In the Flesh tee shirts popping out every where, all the fans traveling around Europe couldn't miss an oportunity to see Roger in Ireland. Especially all the lads from Manchester I had met and the rest that where going to Glastenbury Festival to see the wind down of the tour.

Roger opened the show with a song that inspired the rest of the night (the show) and right into Anther Brick..., what a start to a fantastic night. The solo songs done by Roger where picked to perfection in the order he chose.

One of my favorites of the night was Every Strangers Eyes. The pictures of the American great plains and the Indians were spectacular. And especially Perfect Sense Part One and Two blew me away.

I hope this will not be the last time we are blessed with the presence of Roger and his excellence.
your fan forever
Michael Woods
