Well, what can I say. I just walked in from coming home from the showand its 1 am and I am in shock. The show was GREAT! Roger was on his game. He sounded great and looked great too.

I believe everyone there felt the same way as me except the idiot next to me. Naturally there was that 1 asshole who had to be the jerk after Roger played Leaving Beiruit. I didnt hear any boos or complaints from anyone but him. He had to start yelling obscenities at Roger as if he could hear him. Granted, we were kind of close but not close enough. I can tell all you people...I was in section 103 dead center stage in row Z. I wont give out my seat numbers though. Anyway, enough about the idiot.

The first set was sensational. Every song was excellent and sounded wonderful. The show started alot later then posted. It didnt get going until 8:30. Well worth the wait. Then the band took a short 15 minute break ( well deserved ) and came back to play DSOM. I cant say enough about that. The whole set was dynamite! I cant beleive how well played it was. It sounded better than the original. David Gilmour who??? Dave Kilminster was fantastic. His guitar playing along with Snowy White didnt make me miss that Gilmour dude. And I believe it was Carol Kenyon who sang Great Gig In The Sky. I hope I'm giving credit to the right person. She sounded excellent. The whole band was just fantastic.

Well, I'll stop here. Thanx for letting me say my peace. And remember everyone, We all have the freedom of speech. And that does include Roger and his views on politics.

What a great concert. Roger and the band seem to just keep getting better. When I first arrived at the concert, there seemed to be a backdrop behind the stage of a big radio. When the concert started, I realized it is a huge, brilliant 25 foot tall by 40 foot wide high resolution video screen.

The music was spectacular. He opened with In the flesh. Then they did Mother and then Set the controls for the Heart of the Sun. They also performed Sheep, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Have a Cigar, Perfect Sense, Leaving Beruit, All of Dark Side of the Moon and many songs from the Wall. The audience was enthralled and very pleased.

There were 11 musicians on stage. They were awesome. I thought the guitar work was top notch. Definitely better than his previous, excellent, In the Fleshtour and I feel as good as Gilmour. The three female vocalists were also superb. The psychedelic imagery on the huge high resolution screen far surpassed previous Roger Waters' tours and I think previous Pink Floyd tours.

During Sheep, the stage crew brought out a 20 foot long inflatable, floating pig that they led around over the audience. Then they released it to float away into the sky. There was also a floating spaceman on stage.

As I was leaving, I heard a guy say that it was the best concert he'd ever seen. I can see why he said that. For me, it's definitely one of the best concerts I've ever seen but I wouldn't say it was better than a Van Halen concert I saw from their heyday or better than an Emerson, Lake and Palmer concert I saw in the early 90's.

I think the only way to improve it would be to perform one of Syd's whimsical songs as a tribute, maybe say Flaming, Lucifer Sam, or Bike. It would definitely need a different arrangement with 11 musicians, but it would be a welcome contrast.

To Roger and the rest of the band: Thanks for putting on an awesome, first class show. I was Amused to Death! If I can afford it, I'll go to theshow in May.

I've also seenPink Floyd in '77 and '95 and the early '80s Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour and theIn the Flesh tour. This concert topped all of those other, excellent shows.

Wow!! Where to start? We thought we were going to be enjoying the show though a rainstorm, but nature knew better than to rain on this show and cleared up just before it started, and just stayed chilly and overcast.

This was an incredible show! Way better than the In the Flesh show 6 long years ago. I have heard reviews for this venue for other events, that rip the location apart, butthis show didn't seem to have the problems(at least from the lawn). Thesound wasgood, andthe video show was genius! It was great to see some of the props float around and gotto witness what appeared to be an accidental fly off of the flying pig into the night skyas a plane camestraight towards itthrough the clouds. This corresponded precisely with the displayed graphics and music.

Roger was great, and had an incredible set list tonight. Starting out with "In the Flesh", and hitting many of the great Floyd songs that reference Syd. As Roger sang, and the camera gave great close ups, we could all see the emotion pour out to us as he remembered Syd.

I would have liked to have seen more of Roger's solo songs performed, "Each Small Candle", "Towers of Faith", "Watching TV", or "Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking Part 11 (aka 5:06 a.m. - Every Stranger's Eyes)", but then that may have meant not playing "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun", or any of the other masterpieces that we experienced.

As for the rest of the band.... oneword: "INCREDIBLE". Andy Fairweather Low,Snowy White, and Dave Kilminster can play like no other. Comfortably Numb was awesome! I used to think D.G. was the only one who could pull it off completely, but I was proven wrong tonight!

Katie Kissoon, PP Arnold, and Carol Kenyon...."Great Gig in the Sky" and "Perfect Sense"... can't do it better (especially in the cold)!

Ian Ritchie...Good job. You dida pretty good job sounding like Dick Parry on "Money", butI enjoyed your personal touches throughout the show.

Graham Broad... was awesome! Great job on "Time" and all the time!

Harry Waters and JonCarinweregreat tonight!Wordscan't describe their incredible contribution... "Great Gig in the Sky" and "Us andThem"great job on 2 of my favorite songs of all time!

To Roger and Crew... Thank you for the best show I have ever seen!

What can I say. I am comfortably numb. What an excellent performance. Roger does... is floyd. DSOM was a pleasure and superbly performed. Gilmour would have liked it. The guitar players did him justice. Roger was in rare form and the whole selection of songs was great.

Animals is underrated. I saw it in 1977. Thanks for playing sheep.

I thought the crowd recieved "Beirut" pretty well. Everyone knows or should know that war just sucks and doesnt cause peace. Roger should use his forum. Free speech, get it. He does. Maybe both sides should listen to more Pink Floyd.

Even with all the rowdy drunks everyone was happy at the show. What a perfect year, Waters and Gilmour both on tour.

PS. The glass radio thing was really out of this world. We thought they were props and were freaked when we saw how it was done.

Last night, I saw atrue musical genius and legend live in concert in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. The traffic there and home was horrible, it was freezing, and we were way up on the lawn. None of that mattered. The entire presentation of the show was amazing. The backdrop screen was so vivid that it looked three dimensional, even from way up on the lawn. The sound was rich, the giant pig flew away; it was just about the best concert I have ever seen. And I've seen many.

The band playing with Roger totally rocked and sounded great. But the best part was seeing Roger down there and knowing I was actually getting to hear him sing and play these songs that have affected me deeply since grade school. Since grade school!!

Roger sounded so good that at first we wondered if he was actually singing. A truly talented and compassionate artist, I don't think Roger has gotten older, I think he has only gotten better. I am so thankful that he is touring and that I had this opportunity to see him live. I hope he comes back to Chicago soon, maybe during the summer. ;)

This was amazing! I took my son Ben, who is 11, to see Roger for his first concert and he couldn't have been happier. Roger was fantastic and dead on every song. The radio backdrop with the hand changing channels was awesome and the band was superb. My highlight, for obvious resons, was to see my sons face when the lights went out and Roger just seemed to appear from stage right waving to the crowd. I would have gone night after night if there were more shows here, but I felt privileged just to be in the same venue with Roger and his band. It was something I will never forget. Thank you Roger.

Hey all,
Guess I have to say it was a kickin concert. I have loved Floyed since ...well don't want to give away my age! I must say, he opened with the power that is most fitting, even though he was quite late in starting. The waiting music could have been a little better.

Roger Waters was bringing me home, up until the time when he sang his new song. I read on an earlier post that one guy was booing. I must say, you were only a few rows up from me, and myself and the whole row before me and after me did the same thing. I did notice how he blames the entire conflict on Bush. Where was Tony Blaire in all of this? For such a great singer/group to be so anti-man for so long to throw something like that in, lost most of us true Floyders. If you were there, you noticed that he never really got us back.

I also sat down today and read the program I purchased. I was quite disappointed in Roger Waters. Although I will always love Pink Floyed, I have lost respect for Roger.! Other than that the show was fanaminal! There was a while when you didn't even feel the cold blowing through.

When it opened with a scene from The Wall, I assumed most would understand the "crossed arms". But alas, I only saw maybe 10 or so of us really enjoying what it represented. All in all, it was a concert to remember.

The pig floating around reminded me of the concert at Soldiers Field, when they dropped the pigs from the plane! I really thought there was going to be a lot more lazer light show, but what they did was great. The crowd was exceptional! Everyone really seemed into it, especially for most of us being "old foggies"!

Must say, this is one concert I will never forget! My night didn't even stop after the concert. My need for Floyed was so overwhelming, after listining to the Loop play the block, I had to come home and watch the concert "Pulse"! I'm sure you can imagine what happened after we started the DSOTM album! ;-) Hope you all had a rockin time as ! I did! Hope we have the chance again!

I just wanted to let you know that my mother is 74 years old and as a birthday gift to her, my sisters got her a ticket to see the concert in Chicago. My sisters picked her up all of the way from Green Bay, Wisconsin and then she traveled 3 hours to Chicago to see the concert.

After speaking with my mother the day after the show, all I have to say is "Shame on You! How dare you use a concert venue to voice your political views and use your star status to voice your polical views. My sisters spent alot of money on tickets. They all wanted to hear music, not politics. My mother's heart is broken and she will never again listen to Rogers Waters.

I have to say this was the best Roger Waters Show I have ever seen. I saw the KAOS TOUR and the In The Flesh '99 Tour, but this one was it!! I have heard people complain about not enough SYD stuff, but anyone who was at this show and heard "Shine On, Have a Cigar, Wish You Were Here" knows that he misses him more than we all do.

I have to admit that I missed Gilmour's parts on the DSOM, Us & Them was not strong vocally... and the Comfortabley Numb solo was weak... but overall it was a great concert!!!

A night to remember in Chicago.

What a show! I have never written to comment on a show, butone that was this moving is hard to pass up on. I saw Roger in 87 twice on the Radio KAOS tour, once at Poplar Creek in September, andthen again in Milwaukee in November. The way that show's tension built until "Four Minutes" was awesome!

Well, once again this show did not dissapoint! The way Roger choreographed the songs Fletcher Memorial Home,Southhamptondock,Perfect Sense, Leaving Beirut and Sheep was impressive! Watchingthe emotion on Roger'sface as he sang those songs(especially Sheep)showswhat great passion he has! Obviously this was the hightlight of the evening for me. I was in "pig heaven"!!

Those of you who were upset about Roger's politics should really get a clue. Listen to the lyrics on Final Cut, The Wall, and Animals, obviously you have never heard Radio Kaos and Amused to Death, what a shame!

Sound system, musicians and all the theatrics added much to the show and were outstanding. (By the way was it cold and rainy anyone? I hadn't noticed.) Butmost importantit is all about the music, am I right? Watching a true legend play a classic that will stand the test of time. How can it get any better? Roger's and Pink Floyd's music is as vibrant and relevant now as it was when it was written those many years ago.

Anyway, enough rant, I loved the show, thanks Roger your message needs to get topeople to makethem think, even if they do not agree with you. By the way, I voted for W.(Not proud ofthat though.)Hopefullyyou will add some more shows to your tour, if you are anywhere within 200 miles, I'm there!

Peace,
Mark

I have not missed a Roger Waters tour since K.A.O.S. which I saw twice in Chicago. I saw the In The Flesh tour in two cities. The Dark Side 2006 was by FAR the best show I have ever seen!!! Roger did things with pyro-technics I have never seen in any of the 4 previous shows. Additionally he did some strobe effects that also were not present in the previous shows.

Roger Waters is like fine wine!!! The older he gets the BETTER he gets!! He is truly the greatest lyricist I have ever heard, and I look forward to the next time in my life when I can see him perform his EXCELLENT music!!

Being a huge Roger Waters fan and reading the reviews and staying on top of what's happening I knew what I was in for, but I was still anxious. We were in our seats about 45 minutes before show time and getting to know the people around us. It seemed like everyone was as anxious as I and couldn't wait for the show to begin. I warned the couple behind us that I probably wouldn't be sitting much and they said great because they weren't sitting either. The weather was a little chilly (low 50's) but that wasn't going to be a problem. I was ready for an awesome concert. The show started, and as expected, it was a great beginning. I was anxious though to hear 'Have a Cigar' although not one of my favorite songs, I just thought it would be a great guitar solo song, and I was right. The one thing I would of done different in the first set is narrate the words in leaving Beirut instead of doing it the way they did. It seems like we just got here and the first set was over, even though I haven't smoked a joint in 30 years, I was still buzzing after what I had just seen. Oh and all you people who didn't like the politics part get a life, America is all about freedom of speech. The Dark Side of the Moon set was the best piece of work I have ever seen by any artist. It blows me away that someone like Roger is never played on a daily basis on these so called rock stations, this man is a genius. Every song sent chills through me; I can't wait until this comes out on DVD. The Great Gig In The Sky was probably my favorite of the night. The encore was just as good, but being a fan of Rogers solo stuff it wouldn't of bothered me to see him end the night with his songs. Every Strangers Eyes, Three Wishes, Watching TV, Who Needs Information, Each Small Candle, and end it with The Tide is Turning. Well the concert is over and the whole night was perfect. The people around us were great. we all stood for the whole night enjoying every song. It seemed like everyone felt the same way as I about the concert.
