Sports Paleis

From the Atwerp Belgium Show
April 25th 2007

From: Laurent Withofs
Thank you Roger for this Wonderful concert! It was just fabulous! I can't put it out of my mind! There is not much thatI can add to the reviews of the previous concerts. ButIneed toemphasize the amazing performance of the 3 lady-singers (I don't know which onewas the best); it was breathtaking! Ian Ritchie, Dave Kilminster and Graham Broad were also superb.

It was too bad that the acoustic quality of the sportpaleis is not like it should be; 'In the Flesh' sounded a little bit hollow with an echo and the sound of'Have a Cigar' was also not perfect. Next time you come to Belgium, andI hope you do, you should play in the brand new 'Ethias Arena' in Hasselt which is top quality and larger.

For me the absolute highlight was 'Sheep,' a total spectacle in sound and vision, it can't be beaten! After the showI was 'Comfortably Numb'.

Roger thank you again, this concert is burned in my memory andI hope they bring out the DVD from the 'Northern Hemispheretour 2007', so I can enjoy this once more.

It was incredible! The band was just fantastic, that is really what I think! I had heard bootlegs, knew everything about the show by reading here, but I still was blown away by it... how INCREDIBLY cool was the laser prism?

The band was in great shape, Roger seemed very happy too... I enjoyed that! He also plays a rather wide number of air instruments.

DSOTM sounded so great live! 'Time' was just lovely! I was pleasantly surprised they didn't do the added chorus on 'Wish You Were Here.'

It was a great audience too, IMO, not too much singers where I was sitting, and mostly calm people, which is the way I like it. They all were very enthousiastic after each song though, and off course, everyone stood up for the encore!

I knew about the lip-synching, and it still annoyed me, but I tried not to pay attention to it too much... 'Have a Cigar' and 'Sheep' were so very obvious though...

I really enjoyed every last minute of the show... My seats weren't the best, but I could see everything very clearly from where I was. Too bad only the people in the middle rows got confetti and bubbles though :)
