From the Calgary Alberta Canada Show
June 23rd 2007

From: Jamie Hogg
I took my son to the show last night in Calgary. I'm 45 and my son is 16, and WE LOVE PINK! So we got all duded up just like PINK... what a blast! We were complemented all night on our outfits. I even shaved all my facial hair. We were in the 4th row on the floor... dead centre. So we had no problem seeing Roger. I hope he saw the resemblance.

As I have seen Pink Floyd twice before, I was very happy to catch up with Roger. I'm going to Toronto to see Roger again. I have every album ever made by Pink Floyd. It's too bad Roger got the back seat to David it's not right. But... the show must go on...

Thanks so much for a wonderful time!

The Calgary show was... amazing!!!!! It was probably the best thing I have/will experienced in my whole life! The crowd was louder then the music at times. I'm still not over it.

I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I always said, he'll never come in Calgary, but finally it happened. I went with my 12 year old daughter, she was all excited to see Pink Floyds Roger Waters live, the artist her daddy was talking about so much before. What can I say, the clarity of sound, the show, the ideas, the high definition screen, the lights, the prism and well the flying truck sized pig.

The startup was a mastermind, the giant hand handling the radio knob and reaching for the bottle and cigarette. The tension was building up by the second making the audience crave for the live music. And then there it was, suddenly with full force taking 12 thousand people for a fantastic ride of sounds and lights for the next three hours.

Some might say too much politics, well that IS Roger Waters, the only guy who can sing a political song, and it's not an awkward folk song, but a real drama with all the meanings, that make you think, stirs your soul, makes you whistle and makes you applaud until your palms are all red and hot. And all that wrapped in very advanced timeless music.

Next day I listened to the Dark Side of the Moon on my stereo and made a mental note: yes, everything was the same, even The Great Gig In The Sky. Honestly, I held my breath before the song came up, not sure how they are going to manage it live. Then the vocal started and I felt a sudden inner peace embracing my soul: it was perfect.

The cherry on the top was listening to my kiddo singing the vocals of Another Brick in the Wall. Comfortably Numb, my favorite song, closed the night, and I wasn't quite ready to go, the three hours went by too fast, I could have stayed and listened for another three at least!
