Excellent show! Second time seeing Roger. Would see him again too. Left feeling happy and satisfied. Big
Pink Floyd fan since late 70's. Saw them on TV in '05. Hoping David Gilmour would have joined Roger but
oh well. Roger is amazing. Good looking too!!!

I attended the show last night and was truly amazed by the talent and tightness
of the entire group. I have always liked Pink Floyd & Roger Waters a great deal, but am not an avid
fan like most of your members.
Throughout the show a number of individuals made comments wondering if the vocals were lip synced or massively, electronically enhanced. Closing your eyes, you would not be able to determine if you were listening to the album or live vocals. The show went almost too perfect and fluent without any talking to the crowd or pauses, other than a scheduled break after the Dark Side was performed. Is Rogs voice and timing that perfect and synonymous to the studio recordings? Dont want to stir up a big controversy or take anything away from the spectacular show, I'm just curious as to the realty. Your comments would be appreciated.

Good morning Michael. The newest issue of REG arrived lasy Friday. What a great
issue.
Roger Waters and his band exceeded my expectations again at the (July 10, 2007) concert in Hartford, CT. (I was located in Section 800 with great views of the band. Thousands of people enjoyed the show, I estimate there were between 10,000 to 16,000 people to see Roger Waters and his band perform. One of them included a special female friend of mine who enjoyed my version of "Vera" and "Bring The Boys Back Home".)
The crowd was in a great mood and the pig made a fantastic appearance. I hope Roger and the band return back soon to Southern New England. Michael, have a great weekend.

Hello, again!
I went to Roger Waters' Concert in Hartford, CT. This time, I went with my
husband and our three sons - 13, 14, and 16 years old. It was their first rock
concert experience, and as expected they were blown away! The show was just as
fantastic as the other Roger Waters' shows that I attended - Bristow, VA in
September 2006, and Philadelphia, PA in June 2007. My only concern for my sons is
that after having experienced Roger's concert as their first one, they will
have a great difficulty adjusting their expectations at other shows they will be
going to in their future :)
Shortly after the Philadelphia show, I had a strong wish to catch another show before the tour ends. So, I convinced (more like coaxed) my husband and three children to come with me to see the show in Hartford. Before the show, they WERE NOT fans of Pink Floyd or Roger Waters (with emphasis)! Now,THEY ARE! I am so glad that they went with me. By the way, it was a seven hour drive one way from Northern Virginia to Hartford, CT, and it was well worth it!!
I will not write about the set list and how great each song was, as those have been covered enough by all the reviewers.

At this show, I realized once again how powerful Roger's presence is on stage! He carries a certain air that just captivates the audience. It's a kind of charisma I guess, but in a deeper sense. It's hard to explain... but, it seems that he doesn't try to entertain... instead he seems very comfortable and completely enjoys what he is doing. And that shows that he appreciates the audience. There is air of quiet confidence and elegance in his presence on stage. What a lovely state of being!
Also, you can tell that Roger feels great about sharing the humanitarian message through his music aided by the visuals. Ah, the visuals! Here is one reaction to "Impeach Bush" message written on the pig's rear - When the pink pig was led though the audience while "Sheep" was at its peak, a man a few rows ahead of us had his finger high up for a long time until his arm got too tired. He didn't leave the show though - At least he stayed until the end of the show unlike some of the reviewers of past shows who had negative comments about Roger exercising his fundamental right in the US. It's a regret that they had to give up their rights to see the show just because they couldn't stand a British gentleman with a huge heart for humanity exercising his freedom on stage!

The audience in general truly enjoyed the show. (Although my kids were in a mild shock at seeing all the smokers around them.) The venue, New England Dodge Music Center, was packed, including the lawn area, and the audience response was very enthusiastic! But the same thing happened here as did in the Philadelphia show. As soon as "South Hampton Dock" started, a very noticeable portion of the audience were leaving their seats either to get more beer or to use the restroom, or who knows what. Personally, it was very annoying because it was a distraction to my enjoyment of the quiet song, and also because apparently it showed that a lot of people in the audience don't care for "South Hampton Dock" or simply don't know the "Final Cut" album. It is really none of my business what others know or don't know, but as a big fan of Roger, it was just frustrating seeing that such meaningful song with beautiful melodies is not appreciated at the same level as the big hits like "Have a Cigar" or "Money" are appreciated. Well, as I said before, it is my problem....
My only criticism was in regard to the mixing of the sound - I thought the bass was too strong which made the overall sound a bit muddy or not as clear as I remember it from the other shows. Some of the songs like "In the Flesh" and maybe another song were impacted by this set back more than others. The problem may have been corrected later since I didn't notice it in the second half.
To sum it up, the show was amazing! It is particularly amazing how the set list covers the music of the sixties through today, and the meainings behind them are all relevant to the present day issues. They are timeless!
Now, my wish is to go to a Pink Floyd concert, with all four members present, playing the full album of "Animals", including "Echoes" and "A Saucerful of Secrets" in the set list! Although a wish more likely to be realized is another Roger Waters Concert in the next few years, including more recent compositions... I will take that! A broadway show version of "The Wall" is also on my wish list as well as "Ca Ira" performed in Washington DC.!!
Thank you Roger, for delighting, enriching, and enlightening us with your music!
"There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact, it's all dark..." (the ending of DSOTM, which is not heard in the concerts).
