Tour Reviews

MEN Arena

From the Manchester England Show
May 7th 2007

From: Elaine Eakhend
I was very lucky to go witha friend and my 17 year old daughter to the show last night. We were absolutely blown away, and I was so proud that my daughter couldexperiencethe same music and lyricsthat had been a key part of my own development when I was just a bit older than her.

The musicianship, sound, visual quality and sheer creativity of it was just brilliant. I loved the fact that the solos were all as you knew them to be, but everything seemed just as fresh and evenmore powerfulthan the originals.

My husband remembers, when he was social secretary at Stirling University in the early seventies, that he had booked Pink Floyd before the release of Dark Side of the Moon. By the time of the gig, they had become big, but not only turned up at the tiny hall as promised, but apparently did a completely full-on set, with again, fantastic visuals. And they were also just really nice and not at all snooty, unlike a certain Mr. E. John, who was booked in similar circumstances!

The only tiny negative comments I would have about last night was a) after being in a smoke free zone- Scotland -for a year, it came as a pretty big shock to be all fumed up again, ( and see people being drink-sick inside the arena), and b) the static nature of the audience - I don't know if this is normal at a MEN gig, (not living in Manchester), or because of the stewards, but my instinct is to jump around, and it was a bit frustrating not being able to do so!

Anyway, rock on Roger andthewonderful band - I wonder if he could be pursuaded to run for World Leader- to hell with national poiitics. .

I went to the Manchester gig on may 7th 2007 and I was blown away. I have never felt as emotional as I did since the birth of my one and only son. Thanks for the second greatest night in my life. I only wish I could have met him in person for an autograph. The show was spectacular, the effects amazing, and I was, and am still totally blown away by the whole experience. Thanks Roger u r a God.

I am a huge Pink Floyd fan. I have never seen them live, but have seen lots of tribute bands. I went to see Dave Gilmour last year but the Roger Waters concert I went to last Monday evening was out of this world!!!

It amazed me how popular he is, Roger is the same age as my father and can still put on a performance like that!!

He is a genius!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
When's the next tour?

No review of the concert can do justice to the sheer brilliance of ALL the musicians involved (not forgetting the lighting and special effects guys aswell!). This truly was an amazing night, and I hope Roger knows just how much he is loved by his fans in the North West of England and world wide.

To Michael, the fan club president - Thank you for taking the time and trouble to honour the genius and legend that is Roger Waters.
Kindest regards to you.

Gaynor Loftus
