Tour Reviews

Just came from the show and all I can say is... Amazing. I saw Roger Waters when he came to Montreal for his Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking Tour and I must say that I found that he did not really care about playing the Pink Floyd catalogue. Well last night was another story. He seemed to really enjoy playing all the classics. He looked like a guy who loved his job and was enjoying doing it. The visuals are spectacular and the sound was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. All I can say I hope we see him again!!!

As a HUGE Roger Waters fan, I was at the two shows he gave in Montreal on his current tour. I also saw him in 1999 when he stopped here on his previous tour. I must admit that I was a little disappointed when I saw him back in '99. I did not feel he gave his best, but hey!, everyone can have a bad day at work. That less than great performance still could not keep me from going to his most recent shows, and what shows were those. Two and a half hours of the best music ever made.

And on both occasions, I had that feeling just like everybody else in the attendance, that Roger was singing for me personally, making sure certain that I got all the messages he wanted to pass on when he wrote those magnificent lyrics. This latest show was even better than the 2006 one. Indeed, a few different songs were performed, most notably "Shine on you crazy Diamond".

The light show was way more present, and lots of new or improved clips were shown on the stage's main screen. His vocal performance was also surprising. His rendition of "Wish you were here" was out of this world. Indeed, he almost sounded like the original Gilmour at the beginning of the song.

As far as his presence on stage is concerned, we could feel hi pleasure and enthusiasm. He thanked us profusely, even mentioning that Montreal is one of the best, if not the very best, audience in the world. I agree! Alas, the concert was gone too quickly but the songs still resonate in my head 2 days after the event. That is how you can be a fair judge, I think.

My only regret is the same I had both times I saw him before. I fear that I've witnessed a live performance of my icon for the last time, but hopefully, another tour will provide me with the opportunity to witness his talent once again. Thank you Roger, as always, your biggest fan, Jocelyn.

Hello,
First let me say I have been using your web site for over a year now, following the current Roger Waters tour. GREAT JOB!!!

I have only seen Roger twice so far, in Toronto last September and then a couple of weeks ago in Montreal. Yes, I will be at the last show in Toronto in two weeks.

I could go on and on about how great these shows are but I'm sure you have heard it all from anyone who attends.

My only complaint, and it has nothing to do with the Roger Waters shows, is, why doesn't every big act that tours use a sound system similar to his?

I have been to many, many concerts, but when I walk out of a Pink Floyd concert (years ago) or a Roger Waters concert I can not believe how great the sound was.
