We had an extra ticket in the stratosphere, and decided to give it to the first
person to tell us the opening line of Sheep. Took 13 people for the 13th to get
it right! Shame on them (and shame on you if you're reading this and not knowing
yourself!)
Roger is still giving me the chills. The voice is what does it folks. We were
blessed to here God bark out Sheep again. We also heard the everlasting sarcasm
eminating from The Fletcher Memorial Home, and got a better feel this time from
Beruit, another sarcastic rant by our hero. But that's the thing with Roger - he
can basically tell people to go fuck themselves or their ideas or beliefs without
actually saying it.
Otherwise, this show's itinerary was nearly identical to the one in the
Meadowlands (not that I'm complaining!). Still looking for more solo stuff
Roger, you gotta come back and make that happen. The players were their awesome
selves, and a big hey to Harry for his part. The synthe player seemed to do an
even better job, and he was great the first time. The crowd was lethargic, but
screamed blue murder at the end when it truely counted. Guess you can't expect
miracles when 1/2 the audience is, um, acting up.
Great disappointment not hearing 'Welcome to the Machine.' Again, security guards
were generally a pain in the ass, with constant interruptions of me and my
friends, um, partakings, but to their credit they never threatened to toss
anyone out.
We will try to get to the Philadelphia show, but think this might be our last time seeing
God. Please Roger, come back and inspire my ass once more. May your life be
long and your sarcastic rants continue in song forever.
Hey again Reg... God appeared for the second NYC area show at the magestic
Madison Square Garden, my 9th time, personally, seeing Roger. The humidity was worse
than the Meadowlands last Thursday. The air was also more, let's say, um, acrid.
MSG was brutally hot. Even hotter than the Meadowlands. Secuity was everwhere which made it even harder to ....well....spark. But at least my heart wasn't stopped like it was at the Meadowlands last week. Hey the heartbeat started so we lit one up and next thing I know 2 gestao agents snuck up behind me and I had to beg them to let me stay. Whats the world coming to?
Sheep still floors me. Can not wait for the CT or Boston shows when I will
convert my wife finally. Roger, thanks again. We love u!
