Oracle Arena

From the Oakland California Show
June 19th 2007

From: Jeff Schultz
What an unbelievable night indeed. I was lucky enough to catch the outdoor show last year which was great. But the indoor arena show put that to shame. The sound was tremendous, crystal clear and LOUD. The vast array of lights was spectacular. Roger and his band were tight and nailed every song all night long. The show was just under 3 hours by my calculations. With the show being indoors the screen seem to be brighter and more vivid with color along with great pyrotechnics. All in all a well spent evening.

He would be better served to just perform . Most people do not want to shell out $150 ticket to hear some political diatribe from a foreigner bashing our electedleaders. Listeneing to his new song about his travels in Lebanon in the early 60'swas a joke. That was 45 tears ago and those people are still killing each other with the help of Syria. Concerning bringing down the wall Reagan did just that in Germany but he was slammed byWaters too.One of our mostpopular presidentsof all time being slammed by aforeigner and we had to pay to listen to it. Unbelievable! Funny he seemed to bash only republican presidents. Why not his buddy Clinton?

We paid the money for entertainment only.It was like a democratic party fund raising party. To listen to Waters try and shove his political views down our throat was too much to bear. I can tell you this, the festive mood in Oakland was dampened considerably by this and never bouced back. Thiswill hurt his future concert sales in this area.

Oh yeah I forgot to say the concert was weak aside from all the BS. Time for him to ride away in his oil depenedent planes and vehicles and preach his class warfare to the uneductated in the 3rd world while he enjoys his spoils as the lord of the manor preaching to all the little people.

One of many ex fans.

We just returned from our trip to the Oracle in Oakland because we had to gig the night the Vegas concert played. While we have NEVER paid this much money for a concert we thought we would regret not seeing this tour. (the money I am talking about is the travel expense for flight , car, hotel etc... it came to over $1000.00 and more if you include the t-shirts and crap we bought too)

The only disappointment we shared was the fact that being so close to San Francisco, we were under the impression that there would be a few freaks attending, and it looked like we were the only ones... everyone else looked like farmers! It was very strange to me.

Audience aside... We sat stage left on the floor about 15 rows back, and were concerned the off center position would minimize the audio experience, and I'm happy to say that the audio was so well balanced that it was hardly noticeable.

We loved every minute of the show! We screamed every time Bush's face or name came up in relation to the lyrics of the tune. Surprising (well not really when you think about Nostradamus or any intelligent literature etc..) how poignant the lyrics from many years ago are still, and even more so... appropriate to the current world situation.

This was the second time we heard a song with the lyrics BRING THE BOYS BACK HOME in less than a week... we just worked a show with Freda Payne (of 60's fame) and she performed her hit BRING THE BOYS HOME.

Keep waving the banner of freedom and Love... CALL AND WE WILL MARCH WITH YOU!

First of all, I would like to thank Roger for a brilliant show. I'd like to thank all who were included in bringing the show to the bay area, and all in charge of production.Thank you! Please come back again.

I'm a working class American, and I'm picky about the shows I'll attend. For the most part, this concert was the pinnacle of my concert experience. Only three things could have brought it to a higher level: if I had purchased closer seats - IfÊNick Mason had come in on a few songs - or especially if I hadn't walked back to the car to get my camera (which in the meantime Roger had arrived & walked inside right through where I was waiting forÊ2 hours for the chance to meet him in the flesh!)!!

It was the best concert of my concert going experince - not the biggest... ÊBUT THE BEST!!!
