I first saw Waters in 1984, naturally, I was very impressed. Then, 23 years later, I had the opportunity to see him and his band once again. What can I say? I had a great time. Sure, he stuck to a lot of his standards, but he stuck to them with style!

I must admit that although watching his band was awe inspiring, you could sense that something was missing.

I know that most of Roger's fans expect a glowing review (being one of those fans in question), which I do have to offer, but I sure wish that Pink Floyd would decide to get their act together and put aside their petty differences and do something before they are relegated to the dust bin of history.

Let's face it, unless they get their shit together, they may as well ride the gravy train into the sunset, because they have no more to offer. Their music is timeless, but they are not. I know that it is well within their capabilities as a band to put out one more recording with as much relevant meaning to today's world as Dark Side was to the seventies. In fact, Dark Side is still as relevant today as anything else put out by any other band.

If Roger was serious about his sense of humanity, he would do something with his old band mates, make a pile of cash, and do something useful with it. As Roger once said, a Pink Floyd reunion tour would be a hot ticket. Well Roger, what would you do with the cash that a tour like that would generate? Perhaps save a few lives that you deem so precious in your songs?

Enough negativity, it was a hell of a show. Everything you would expect from a Water's performance. I walked away from the show very impressed. Dark Side was excellent, but you could see Roger almost giddy with his performances of his solo material and anything else he had a hand in that said "Roger Waters" (Read - Animals and Final Cut).

Bottom Line -
Do NOT miss the show, but for Christ's sake Roger, put your ego aside and get together with your band mates before they pass on. You do not realize how fortunate you are that all of your band mates are still around!
