From the Auckland New Zealand Show
January 29th 2007

From: Lauren & Mark
We just got back from the ROGER WATERS - DARK SIDE OF THE MOON - CONCERT held in the North Harbor Stadium In Auckland, New Zealand. WOW what an AWESOME experience. It was truely amazing.

Before the concert I saw that at the Sydney Australia concert some fans managed to capture the PIG! It was later rescued by security. Well here in New Zealand we did one better than the Aussies ... WE SET THE PIG FREE!!!!!! (I'm not too sure wether that was meant to happen or not, but the PIGGY is now flying free & flying around Auckland or the top of the North Island anyway).

This was an experience that we will always remember.
Thank you Roger for the opportunity.
Love always from 2 of Floyds biggest fans

It was a great show. I had a front row seat in the Chirstchurch show, this one I was five rows back so I got a better effect from the sound. The huge pig they had floating above the crowd was bloody funny. It caused a huge roar of support when we read the back of it which said `impeach bush now`. It was good to see us from New Zealand show such huge support for our dislike of G.W.Bush, I for one had a t shirt printed for the two shows that read Bush Sucks. Not sure if it was planned or not but the pig got lose and floated up into the night sky. Otherall it was a great show, thanks to everyone involved. I really hope he comes again. Cheers

After seeing him in 2002, at the Sydney Entertainment Center, I was abit concerned at what this concert would be like. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, and especially like Rogers work. My fav Waters/Floyd album is Amused to death.

So we rocked up at about 7:30, and headed to the merchandise tent. People for miles. Left our seats at half time to try the merchandise tent again... nobody home. Asked this spaced out hippie chick where we could get some merchandise?. People everywhere in the Stadiums concourse. Felt like a sheep...

Back to the beginning. As soon as "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" started I knew Waters was going to put on a good act. He thanked the crowd, which was much better than Sydney, where he Just stood there, and belted out the music, and said nothing.

We had good seats. The pig came out, got some footage of it. This concert would be my fav concert of all time. 10 out of 10. I saw Pink Floyd in '95, at Earls Court, and even though it was good, it just wasn't the same without Waters.

I was glad he played Sheep this time, and not Dogs from Animals. Sheep is fantastic live, I have always wanted to hear that song live, so mission a success there.

Great gig in the sky was another highlight. Carol Kenyon did a great performance of that song. "Time" was fantastic, and had those "stactic" bits. Really good.

I'll add some links to some shots etc.

I loved it!!!
The concert in New Zealand, Auckland was the best ever. I have never been to a concert where everyone had a good time. It was a beatuilful night and my husband and I had a fucken great time. It was really great to see how much everyone was singing and dancing around. Roger and the band and the girls just blew us away. If you ever come back to New Zealand I will be the first one there.
Thanks for the great time

Hows it going. It's Dave here from New Zealand. I went to the Roger Waters concert on the 29th Jan. in Auckland. It was the best concert I've been to and I wished that it went on for hours longer, just couldnt get enough.

Roger is a great musician, and his band did really well. I have all of Pink Floyd's albums, DVD's and videos, and Rogers albums.

The sound effects blew my friends and myself away. If only I had the funds to fly to London to see him live again. I was rapt that he decided to come over to New Zealand and share his music with us. He sounded awsome.

I saw in an inerview with him that he's not likley to come over here again unless Pink Floyd reunite. Well wouldn't that be a dream come true. Cheers for coming over Roger.

I'm still gob-smacked, what a BRILLIANT show! This man, who I have worshiped for many a year, was there, playing and singing in front of me!I still can't believe it!

The evening was perfect, even down to the Moon slowly moving over us, dark side and all! It was nothing short of magic, and it moved me to a tear or two.

Thank you from my heart to Roger and every body else who made it possible.

I was at the concert at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand... it was absolutely stunning. The hairs on the back of my neck andarms arestanding up (again)just thinking about it, as I write this.

The musicianship andthe sound system was mind blowing. The selection ofsongs (even for someone like myself, who has not followed his solo career) was outstanding. The mini "Wall" concert after the encore was awesome. The vocals on "great gig in the sky" un-bloody believable!! Brought tears to the eyes (or was that the effects of an old man's coughing fit from those herbal cigarettes). If there had been a second concert, I would have gone to that.

I was 16 when "Dark Side Of TheMoon" first came out. Who would have thought that the music would still be as relevant today as it was all those years ago. People, young and old, still listening to it and getting off on it.

My only disappointment was that I arrived later than I wanted to, anddidn't have time to wait in the queue and purchase a commemorative t-shirt, so if anyone has a contact for the merchandise for this tour please let me know.

If you arein a position to see this concert, do not miss out, trust me, you will kick yourself if you do.
