What I admire the most in Roger is the high degree of professionalism in his
shows, the band never get lazy in the executions of the songs, even in the
difficult ones and it«s the same with the audio and light show. I have never seen
something like that, I have seen in video concerts of ÒPink FloydÓ without Roger
and even with all the lasers and circular screens, simply they don«t deliver in
the same way.
I have seen the In the Flesh Live in DVD many times, and as good as it is, I
think this new show is better. First, because they play all the songs from the
album Dark Side of the Moon, and second, because this is a bigger production, from
the high resolution giant screen, to the surround sound, and the pyrotechnics, etc.
Maybe Doyle Bramhall is a better fit for the band than Kilminster, but I'm not
complaining...
There were too many highlights in the show, the response of the audience (with a
lot of young people) was great all the time, especially for all Dark Side and the
encore of Another Brick in the Wall, Vera and Confortably Numb. Roger
seemed very pleased all night long, and the girls too. At the end of the show, Snowy
and Kilminster were having fun trading solos in Confortably Numb.
Personally I was very pleased listening to Sheep, Time, Us and Them and all the
songs in the encore.
Classic songs, great musicians and singers, first class sound and lights. An
awesome concert! Thank you Roger for a very special night, and comeback soon! We all know that you
are Pink...
I just got back from the magnificent concert with Roger and the boys/girls here in
Monterrey. The venue was a soccer stadium, and you can say there was maybe more
than 25,000 people, I have to say that in a soccer game the available seats are
around 43,000, but for THIS concert they were selling tickets just in selected
zones of the stadium, of course the field (it was full) and the seats on both
sides (I think 90% full). The organizers said before the show that they expected
at least 18,000 people so 25,000 is a very good number I think.
And I can say from the remarks of many after the show, and the look in
the faces of the people in their way out, this was an unforgettable show, a
perfect show because of the quality of the musicians and singers and the quality
of the light and sound system. The surround sound was simply superb.
