Roger Waters management has contracted with Bravado makers of various clothing and merchandise for concerts and tours of many bands.
If you couldn't afford to buy what you wanted at the Roger Waters concerts you attended, or, If you were not able to attend any of the shows during Roger's 2006 Dark Side of the Moon Live World Tour, and won't be able to attend any shows during his 2007 Dark Side of the Moon Live World Tour, and missed out on getting all the goodies, here's your chance. And this tour had LOTS of merchandise, more than any other Roger Waters tour.
Although I found the prices for the official merchandise to be exorbitant, and the designs of the "official" tour T-shirts to be quite a bit less than satisfactory, as MOST of the bootleg shirts being sold were far superior in design, collectors and those who can afford it, will definitely want to get these tour memorabilia.
Bravado's website now has these treasures (and I say treasures cause you'll need one to pay for them) for sale. Well to tell the truth, the website has only tour merchandise that is being discontinued and no longer being sold during the 2007 tour. And the one T-shirt being sold is a black T-shirt with a white shadow pic of Roger and bass ala 1970, what looks like during the Live at Pompeii concert. The same design is also being sold in what they call a "skinny" which is to say it's a breast hugger, or tight fitting stretch T-shirt for women. There is also a black "skinny" with the design of the rainbow swirl. Also for sale is a lithograph poster with the same rainbow swirl. I'm not sure if these are still numbered and signed by Roger Waters, but they went for $75.00 during the tour. I've no idea who designed this shirt and poster, but it has nothing to do with Dark Side of the Moon, which was probably why it didn't sell, and is likely being discontinued. It's my view that these were some of the worst of the designs, but most of the rest should be retired as well.
The poster is being sold for £40.00 and the Waters B&W T-shirt and skinny go for £20.00 and the swirl skinny for £25.00. Not cheap! Lets hope they come up with some better designs. If they're going to charge an arm and a leg... at least let my arm and leg be draped with design on a shirt worth the outrageous prices!
Note: You MUST have the latest and greatest web browser version to view the BRAVADO website at all!!! As it is created using a newer versions of Flash, which older browser versions do not recognize nor have a plugin for.
It absolutely amazes me how so many companies that are supposedly in business to make a profit create websites that at least a third of the world can not even view because they have older browsers. But perhaps they just like the fancy flashy look that the website company's have created for them, or are too technologically stupid to know that their sites can't be viewed by millions, and that they're potentially losing millions because of it!!
Well, I use older versions of the Mac OS, because I enjoy a true operating system instead of using a shell OS covering up an antiquated command line OS like DOS and UNIX. However, browser creators no longer upgrade their browsers with newer versions, and Adobe won't make newer Flash plug-ins for older browser versions. I could easily switch to MAC OS X and use the browser there. But will I switch my OS so I can view some of these websites?? HELL NO!! They just won't get my money!!
My review of last years tour merchandise... coming soon!
