First off let me say thank you Roger for bringing your music and vision to my
little spot in the world...
The show started with In the Flesh...the second version....hummmmm. Makes ya
wonder..
Roger then ripped into all the classic Pink Floyd songs that brought the
crowd to their feet. I stood for about half of the show, but when he moved
over to our side it went crazy! I waved to him... and I hope he saw me. He was
no more then 40 feet away.
The only problem was with the arena it self. Since it was small they could only project half of what it should have looked like. But I'm not bitter at all.
Another problem was with some of the fans. A fight almost borke out in front of me and someone put their head in my lap......er........
The sound was amazing! During 'Dogs' my friend and I looked towards the back of the area to see if there were dogs there! It was so clear and shocking to hear it like that.
When Roger started the second half, mostly Amused to Death, some of the people started to wander off or looked disintrested. That got me upset...
The highlight of the concert was when one of the backgound singers forgot some of the words to 'Mother'. This brought a smile from Roger and the fans helped her out... It was funny.
Anyway... it will be a concert I will not forget in a very, very long
time... Thank you again Mr Waters.

Wow. I'm still trying to comprehend the fact that I saw Roger Waters in Boise.
Boise has a new 13,000 seat venue and the guy who runs it,
Peter Jackson (I think his name is), used to manage Eric Clapton, The Moody Blues
and others (or so the rumor goes). Since Jackson has
been here, us Boise dwellers have seen some fantastic shows - thanks to
Jackson's connections.
I've seen Roger with Floyd ('77) and on his Radio KAOS tour. I've also seen the "surrogate" band once. Last nights show was excellent. It was arguably the best SOUNDING concert I've ever been too. The band was tighter than a fat man in a thin suit and the sound system and sound guys were better than a cold beer on a hot day.
I'm a fan of Doyle Bramhall II and I was very happy to hear his lead playing and singing. Keep it up, Doyle! Your solo career will take off. In the meantime, soak up this experience like a sponge. You can't get any better experience than being a Roger Waters sideman.
The list of positives about last night's show is too long. If I had to make one negative comment (which is hard), it would be this: Why no Radio KAOS songs? "The Powers That Be" or "Who Needs Information" would have fit nicely into the set list. Oh well. Next time...
One funny thing happened during last night's show. During "Mother," Roger sang the "young man's" part. One of the fantastic female singers sang the "Mother's" part. (That was a nice touch, having a female sing the "Mother's" part - versus a man sing it, like Gilmour did in the original version.) Anyway, the woman singer forgot one line. She was like, 'oh shit, I forgot my line!" It was funny. Hey, people make mistakes and things like that happen. It actually made some of us - who were paying attention - laugh. We've been there and could relate.
That's enough. The show was incredible and it will take me days to get over the
high. I'll remember this show the rest of my life.

I saw Roger Waters in Nampa Idaho 7.1.00.
It was fucking amazing, and it proved that he's not only one of the most
entertaining performers, but also, one of the most hard working and
passionate.
The whole crowd was unprepared and blew away by his energy and pure soul he exuded. Nobody, unless too many drugs were involved, were left sitting. It's a concert not to be missed.
In the program available at the concert, it had an great interview with Roger Waters. Not only is he working on a theater version of The Wall (he only gives permission for schools to do it), he is also working on an opera. I'm looking forward to hear more from this genius.
I also wanted to say, not only did this top all concerts I've seen, he
and his entorage played great music, including "Shine On You Crazy
Diamond", "Wish You Were Here" "Comfortably Numb", "Amused to Death",
and so many others. I speak for everyone at the concert when I say
"THANK YOU, ROGER WATERS"

We had a spectacular show! There was a wide variety of age groups in the
crowd of almost 10,000. It has to be the best turnout for a concert yet.
For many of us this was the first time we had the priveledge to be graced by
Roger Waters' presence and possibly the last. Thanks to Roger Waters for the
show, and thanks to the years of Pink Floyd.

I was there!
Ê
It was the best experience I have ever had next to child birth. I only wish that
he'd played more of his older material. More from "The Wall", "Wish you were
Here",
"Saucer Full of Secrets" and so on. More of his work, even if it was with the
original band. He wrote them. As I was leaving the concert, people were asking me
why I
was crying. I could hardly reply, I was so overwhelmed by the experience I was
speechless, for once.Ê Front row, center,Êten feet from the person I have
idolized since
7yrs. old.Ê That was one thing I'll NEVER forget.
