This is the moment I've waited 20 years to see! Until tonight, I'd never seen the conceptual genius behind Pink Floyd. Correction: I'd never seen "Pink Floyd"! Sure, I've seen the "other" guys, and they kick ass - however, that's where it all stops! Roger Waters "IS" Pink Floyd! Witnessing this great spectacle tonight left no doubt, whatsoever, that the true spirit of "Pink" rests within the heart and soul of one Roger Waters (and, of course, Syd!). Case closed...
The show was nothing short of spectacular! The slightly overcast, post-thunder storm skies, created the perfect setting for this show. Roger was animated throughout the evening. One could easily tell that he was having a great time on stage!; he continuously interacted with the audience, and frequently urged everyone to sing along - himself leading the way by lip-syncing the next lines, for the less "schooled" among us! The crowd response was warm and enthusiastic from start to finish!
The sound system was phenomenal; the surround sound setup was the perfect touch to a near perfect show. Yes, even reading about the "dog" and "missile" noises, both puzzling and startling the crowd, it was still funnier to see it - that was good for a few laughs. The band was very crisp and the singers did a superb job, with the usual combination of sex appeal and grace! The only glaring glitch occurred during Shine On... Doyle either missed his beginning cue, and was out of sequence, OR, he played the wrong notes entirely - I don't know exactly which - you couldn't hear him very well at that slightly awkward moment. In any event, he recovered nicely, and was "right on it" the rest ofthe way.
The entire show was a highlight, so it's impossible to single one thing out. Some of the biggest moments, for me, were Pigs on the Wing, Dogs (incredible! - don't know who won the card game?), the WYWH material (performed in it's entirety, with the exception of Have A Cigar). This was beautifully done. Absolutely splendid! Roger dedicated the material to "Syd", which brought a surreal moment quickly back to reality - VERY POWERFUL! "The Final Cut" numbers were quite moving, and fit perfectly with the rest of the set. I don't know if Roger's added these tidbits, or they just haven't been commented on?, but, throughout "Southampton Dock", he interjected the line, "Maggie, what have we done?" (from The Post War Dream) - at least twice, and ended the song with the haunting line, "In the bottom of our hearts we felt the finaaaaaaaal cuuutt!" Wow - how awesome!
To say that Roger's solo material was amazing would be both an insult and an injustice! It was incredible! 5:06 a.m. (Every Strangers Eyes) was a moving piece - even better than the cd itself. The pinnacle of his solo material was two fold: 1) Perfect Sense, pt. 11. It was unbelievably powerful live! The energy of the music, coupled with the sound effects and enthusiastic crowd participation, was beyond description, but, "astonishing" comes to mind, and 2) His new song, Each Small Candle. This is an amazing song, both lyrically (genius!) and musically. It combined his classic "Rogerian" flare with a modern vibe, not too far off the beaten pathfrom some of "A Perfect Circle's" softer, more acoustic-laced material - phenomenal! This song was as good as anything he's done - it's THAT good!!. You simply have to see and hear it live!!
In a word, the Roger Waters "experience" was, is, and will be: UNBELIEVABLE! This was, without a doubt, the best show I've ever seen, and I've nearly seen them all...
The setlist was the same as the previous venues, with the exceptions of:
*Happiest Days of our Lives* - played after "In the Flesh", followed by Another Brick in the Wall II, Mother, Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert and Southampton Dock, etc... Also,What God Wants, pt.1 was not in the set.
There's no way to describe this show to someone who has not seen it. Simply put, you have to see it for yourself to even think about trying to relate to those who have. This is not a judgement or a criticism, but a fact. Go see "Pink" before one of his turns comes on!!!!!!!

I attended the Dallas show last night, and it was, as everyone else has
attested, really great. Even out in the lawn the sound was very good
and everything on stage was clearly visible. No surprises as far as
tune selection, but everything was very enjoyable-from the musicians, to
Waters' stage presence, to the lighting/effects.
My only two complaints are:
Anyway, it was one of the top 2 concerts I've been to-I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dear REG,
What an incredible fucking show!!!! I have been a devout Floyd fan since conception and I have seen the band play many times. (Most recently on the Division Bell tour in 1994). This show was better than any Floyd show I have ever seen! It seemed almost as if the Pink Floyd sound has been re-invented on this tour.Roger has not missed a beat!
Though I did expect some early Floyd material, I had no idea the extent to which I would be amazed! I am currently trying to make arrangements to attend the July 3rd show at Fiddler's Green in Colorado, as I am now addicted to the power of the sound of Roger and company...If you can help it would be greatly appreciated and I would be forever in your debt, as these shows will be forever etched in my heart and soul for all time!
Set 1
Set2 (i think?)
Some of these are out of order but you get the idea. This was the greatest show I have ever seen! Much better than the extravagant effects dominated Neo-post Waters-Floyd shows. Please help me to attend this Colorado show on the 3rd of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you need anyone to promote the REG I am your man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Concert goers who attend to 'see the show' may be disappointed. No lasers,
little fog and only a few lights. But this is a Roger show. The kind of
performing that he prefers and the lack of which drove him to create The Wall
(not that that is a bad thing).
The stage, lights and props are subtle and appropriate rather than mind boggling or fantastic. They complement the music rather than overwhelm it. This performance wasn't about a vast display of visual mind buggery. It's about a guy named Roger getting in touch with his fans and intimately sharing himself with us via his music.
All in all beats hell out of 500 varilites, forty feet of Mr Screen and three tons of dry ice.
Sing to us Roger
We trust you implicitly. Here are the things you
need to know. Don't fuck up. -
