it just as good as the Floyd in 94' loved the show and I hope he will come back sometime soon.
THANK YOU ROGER WATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From: John Doronn
I was very much eagerly anticipating this show, it's been along time since
I've seen Roger perform (1992-Walden Woods benefit). I had great seats,
10th row Orchestra Section. Actually very great seats.
I'm not going to list the songs played, as those have been published at this site.
The show it's self was, in my humble opinion, one of the best concerts, that I've attended. The sound quality was amazing, very clear, the sound quality was as though you were wearing headphones and listening to a private concert. What happened on stage was equally compelling, as was the sound. The dynamics of the show, the slides projected were visually astonishing. Not needing tons of robotics and lasers, or pyrotechnics and multi-million dollar techno-tricks to amuse us. The effects used were consistently relevant to the moment of the song, and were used to enhance the moment. No fluff or stuff (save the diamond disco ball).
One reason Roger stated that he did this tour was to re-connect with his fans. I think Roger has gone beyond re-connecting and has truly endeared himself to his fans. I went with 3 people who had never seen Roger or PF for that matter, and they all came away very impressed and with a deep appreciation for Roger and his work.
Finally (I do apologize for the length), I must say that there were 2 songs that literally brought tears to my eyes: Amused to Death (the slides shown in conjunction with the song, (the Vietnam Memorial, and the tribute to Bill Hubbard) and Each Small Candle, have etched a memory in my mind and heart that will stay with me for the longest time.
This was not a concert it was an experience and also an event. An experience I can only hope to experience again and again. I enjoyed this as much as 1973's (eek am I that old) DSOM or 1980's Wall shows.
