Gerald Scarfe, who did the animation for The Wall,
was hired by Roger to do the animation for his first
solo album tour The Pro's and Cons of HitchHiking.
He drew Caricatures of each of the band members for
the tour program. The Caricature of Roger had a long
snout. So Mr. Scarfe, drew a Snoopy like dog character,
to parody the caricature of Rog. The dog he named Reg.
Reg became the main character in the animation for
The Pros and Cons of HitchHiking tour.
Therefore, REG became the mascot and name-sake of our Fanclub.
